While narrow strip flooring can look very busy and take attention away from other elements for decor, wider plank flooring has the opposite effect. Wider boards can make a small room appear larger than it really is. This is why many traditional European homes have wider hardwood planks in on the second level, where most bedrooms and smaller spaces are.

Depending on construction type (T&G or CosLoc 5G), engineered 5” hardwood flooring can be either glued down or floated above, on or below grade.
