Reducer

The purpose of a reducer is smooth out the transition between floors of different heights.

All Coswick reducers are manufactured from solid oak, ash and American Walnut. Finished reducers are available in lengths of 2100mm (82.6″) and 1200mm (47.2″); in Canada and USA reducers come in random lengths.

Reducers are prefinished in all Coswick styles and surface finishes, and are available pre-stained in all Coswick colors. This allows for precise color matching at the transition point between differently leveled floor areas.

Coswick reducers are manufactured in a 3 sizes and are to be used with corresponding types of hardwood floors:

Canada and USA:	Western Europe, CIS, Near East:
2″ x 3/4″ reducer is to be used with 3/4″ solid hardwood flooring; 2″ x 1/2″ reducer is to be used with 1/2″ 2-layer T&G engineered flooring;	51 x 19mm (2″ x 3/4″) reducer is to be used with 19.05mm (3/4″) solid hardwood flooring; 51 x 12.7mm (2″ x 1/2″) reducer is to be used with 12.7mm (1/2″) 2-layer T&G engineered flooring; 51 x 15mm (2″ x 5/8″) reducer is to be used with 15mm (5/8″) 3-layer CosLoc 5G engineered flooring.
