Designers Maria Chudinova (Shvetsova) and Olga Tarasova
This project by Design Studio Maria-Art has no flowing lines or blurred tones: everything is sharp and stylish and geometry fits comfortably with extravagant opulence.
To make the space as functional as possible the apartment underwent a major replanning. The kitchen was combined with the living room, the living space and the storage room was increased.
The basis for the design is a geometric pattern that is repeated in the rooms. At the entrance we see an elegant ornament on the floor, reminiscent of Herringbone, living room has a wooden panel in the TV zone, bedroom is adorned by thin diagonal lines on a soft bedhead panel and in the décor of the mirror. The visual effect is made stronger by striking black lines on the walls, furniture, glass dividers and lamps.
To accentuate exclusive furniture pieces and décor that were made for this project walls have a neutral milky palette that continues in the soft tone of Coswick oak flooring. Milk white, black and caramel colours are accompanied by deep blue of the couch in the recreation zone to underscore its importance as the centre of family pastime. It was further reinforced by a painting by Maria Chudinova (Shvetsova), designer, which brought together all the colours and made a beautiful addition to the living room.
Coswick 3-layer oak Crystal White flooring was used in the project.
