Manufactured of solid hardwood, flooring planks are sensitive to humidity and as a result seasonal fluctuations in plank size are possible. After installation during dry winters small gaps may appear between the planks, but will close down during humid summer. In order to prevent the seasonal gaps, it is recommended to maintain relative indoor humidity levels at 45-55% throughout the year.
Solid hardwood flooring can be installed on or above ground level, by glue down or staple down to wooden subfloor. For glue down installation of long and wide planks, it is recommended to use staples or nails for pulling and securing planks to the subfloor and one to another.
